We keep our cookie usage minimal. Here's exactly what we set and why.

This Cookie Policy explains how Pulspective uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and platform. We have deliberately kept our cookie footprint as small as possible — we use only what is strictly necessary to make the Service function.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information across page loads or sessions.
We set two cookies — one for manager authentication and one for anonymous nurse device identity. Both are strictly necessary for the Service to function.
sb-[project-ref]-auth-token
Provider: Supabase · Purpose: Stores the manager's authenticated session so they remain logged in across page loads · Set on: Manager-facing pages only (/manager/*) · Duration: Session (expires when the browser is closed, or after inactivity) · Type: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax
pulspective_device_uuid
Provider: Pulspective · Purpose: Stores a randomly generated pseudonymous device identifier created when a nurse first joins a ward. This UUID is used for rate-limiting daily check-ins and for recovering a nurse's personal check-in history if browser storage is cleared. It is never associated with a real name, email, or any other identifying information · Set on: Nurse-facing pages (/nurse/*, /join) · Duration: 2 years · Type: SameSite=Lax (client-accessible)
We do not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service.
In addition to the cookie above, we store the following in your browser's localStorage on nurse-facing pages:
This data never leaves your device except when submitting a check-in or concern report, at which point it is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored pseudonymously. You can clear all of this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies — and no cookies are set for analytics, advertising, or profiling — we do not display a cookie consent banner. This is consistent with the guidance issued by Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and widely accepted practice in Singapore.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling the authentication cookie will prevent manager accounts from functioning. Below are links to cookie management guides for common browsers:
If we introduce new cookies — for example, analytics tools added in a future version — we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required, implement a consent mechanism before setting those cookies.
